Finding Normalcy
As of today it’s been 4 weeks and 5 days since my daughteer was born. There has been some ups and downs but mostly ups which is great. The many pediatrician checkups reveal she is healthy and growing at a good pace. However, she is not all well as she learns utilize her muscles to poop. This phase started around 2-3 weeks and lasts until 8-10 weeks. Until then, my family must help her release the gates with tummy rubs and bicycle kicks.
Fortunately, it feels as though a proper routine has finally kicked in. Fatherhood has brought me the era of running on little to no sleep and for some reason I don’t feel all that bad? It’s as if my body magically changed to support raising a child. As time marches forward, I would like to begin working on my personal development again.
It’s been a long 2 months of recovering from surgery, caring for my lovely wife, and raising my daughter. I am greatful for all that has come to me and hope to improve myself daily to enrich our future together.
Best, Johnny
