Cleaning Up
Cleaning Up
Currently found myself with some free time and decided to do some cleaning up on the tech side of things. I have several projects in mind that involves repurposes or designating specific devices for specific tasks.
- Desktop PC: My main workstation for gaming and heavy tasks. Dualboots Arch Linux and Windows 11 Pro.
- Laptop: Asus Zenbook 14X OLED, which I use for portable work. Dualboots Arch Linux and Windows 11 Pro.
- SteamDeck: For gaming on the go. Primarily runs SteamOS but I am thinking of dualbooting it with Windows 11 Pro.
- Laptop: Lenovo ThinkPad T450s, which is kind of old but in perfect condition. Not used much recently but still runs Arch Linux.
The thinkpad is currently in the middle of transitioning to a dedicated server for hosting various services like:
- Docker for containerized applications
- Wireguard for secure VPN access
- Nextcloud for personal cloud storage
- NAS for network-attached storage
I imagine at some point the setup will become more seemless and I will be able to access any of my devices from anywhere with ease. Alongside this, I am also considering setting up a more robust backup solution to ensure all my data is safe and secure. Overall, it’s a good opportunity to reassess my tech setup and make sure everything is organized and functioning optimally.
Additionally, I plan to clean up my digital files and folders, removing any unnecessary clutter and organizing everything in a more logical manner.
Best,
Johnny
